The Starling Singers is an all-voices barbershop chorus based in Boise, ID.
We are focused on continual musical improvement and fostering community, and we meet twice monthly (2nd & 4th Sundays, 2-5pm) to practice 4-part harmony in an awesome environment. Guests welcome at any rehearsal!
We believe in shared ownership of our music and our mission.
You can reach us at starlingsingers@gmail.com.
We are a registered 501(c)3 through the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Why the "Starlings"?
Our name represents a core concept that drives the chorus: in the wild, starling birds fly in complex swarms known as murmurations. These flocks turn and adapt quickly without any clear leader. How do they do this? By only paying attention to the movement of the birds immediately around them, the whole group can move as one.
In a chorus setting, this concept encourages us to simply focus on singing with the people next to us. It challenges us to be confident, expressive, and attentive musicians.
Our vision is giving voice to the soul: the act of translating our deepest selves into something that others can hear, relate to, and recognize as authentically ours.
Our mission is to be a chorus where our singers are challenged in a supportive space, to make great sounds, and to move the hearts of audiences across Boise and beyond.
Our values are musical excellence; meaningful performances; personal growth; authentic connection; safe environment; clear expectations; that everyone feels welcome and included, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or any aspect of their identity.
